What it does

Gamma Debug Bundle is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Comprehensive debugging toolkit for Gamma integration issues. Use when you need detailed diagnostics, request tracing, or systematic debugging of Gamma API problems. Trigger with phrases like "gamma debug bundle", "gamma diagnostics", "gamma trace", "gamma inspect", "gamma detailed logs".

Its SKILL.md is about 2.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/implementation.md`). Compatibility notes: Designed for Claude Code

It sits in Development, covering Debugging. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • You need detailed diagnostics
  • Request tracing
  • Systematic debugging of Gamma API problems
  • With phrases like gamma debug bundle

Example prompts

  • “gamma debug bundle”
  • “gamma diagnostics”
  • “gamma trace”
  • “/gamma-debug-bundle”

Requirements

  • Python 3
  • Node.js
  • A credential in GAMMA_API_KEY
  • Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Read, Write, Edit, Bash(node:*), Grep

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Quick Connectivity Test (curl)
  2. TypeScript Diagnostic Script
  3. Debug Client with Request Logging
  4. Support Ticket Template

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

    Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Write
    • Edit
    • Bash(node:*)
    • Grep

    From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • curl
    • jq
    • node
    • python3
    • npx

    From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • public-api.gamma.app

    Also links to:

    • developers.gamma.app
    • gamma.app

    From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

    Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • GAMMA_API_KEY

    From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

  • Compatibility

    Designed for Claude Code

    From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

Context cost

Gamma Debug Bundle loads about 2.3k tokens when it runs, and up to ~3.2k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 77 tokens; SKILL.md has 277 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~77
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~2.3k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~3.2k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check: notes

The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

  • NoteMentions a .env fileSKILL.md:297
    issing env var | Set `GAMMA_API_KEY` in `.env` |

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Gamma Debug Bundle

Output

Create a redacted evidence index with opaque correlation ID, artifact list, access owner, retention date, reproduction outcome, and next action. Sensitive originals remain in the approved incident store.

Examples

For a synthetic publish failure, retain runtime/configuration references and aggregate errors only; review the bundle for private content or tokens, restrict access to the incident owner, and retire it at the retention date.

Current State

!node --version 2>/dev/null || echo 'N/A' !python3 --version 2>/dev/null || echo 'N/A' !uname -a

Overview

Debugging toolkit for Gamma API integration issues. Includes connectivity tests, request tracing, diagnostic scripts, and support ticket templates. Gamma uses a REST API at https://public-api.gamma.app/v1.0/ with X-API-KEY header authentication.

Prerequisites

  • Active Gamma integration
  • Node.js 18+ or Python 3.10+
  • curl and jq available

Instructions

Step 1: Quick Connectivity Test (curl)
bash
#!/bin/bash
set -euo pipefail
echo "=== Gamma API Diagnostic ==="

# 1. Check API key
if [ -z "${GAMMA_API_KEY:-}" ]; then
  echo "FAIL: GAMMA_API_KEY not set"; exit 1
fi
echo "OK: API key set (${#GAMMA_API_KEY} chars, prefix: ${GAMMA_API_KEY:0:4}...)"

# 2. Test authentication via /themes endpoint
STATUS=$(curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" \
  -H "X-API-KEY: $GAMMA_API_KEY" \
  "https://public-api.gamma.app/v1.0/themes")
if [ "$STATUS" = "200" ]; then
  echo "OK: Authentication successful"
elif [ "$STATUS" = "401" ]; then
  echo "FAIL: Invalid API key (401)"
elif [ "$STATUS" = "403" ]; then
  echo "FAIL: Account not on Pro+ plan (403)"
else
  echo "WARN: Unexpected status $STATUS"
fi

# 3. Check latency
echo "--- Latency (3 samples) ---"
for i in 1 2 3; do
  LATENCY=$(curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{time_total}" \
    -H "X-API-KEY: $GAMMA_API_KEY" \
    "https://public-api.gamma.app/v1.0/themes")
  echo "  Request $i: ${LATENCY}s"
done

# 4. List themes (verify API access)
echo "--- Workspace Themes ---"

    });

    const duration = Date.now() - start;
    const responseText = await res.text();
    const status = res.ok ? "OK" : "ERROR";

    console.log(`[GAMMA] ${status} ${res.status} in ${duration}ms`);
    if (!res.ok) {
      console.log(`[GAMMA] Response: ${responseText.slice(0, 500)}`);

    if (!res.ok) throw new Error(`Gamma ${res.status}: ${responseText}`);
    return JSON.parse(responseText);
  }

  return {
    generate: (body: any) => debugRequest("POST", "/generations", body),
    poll: (id: string) => debugRequest("GET", `/generations/${id}`),
