What it does

Clari CI Integration is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Validate a Clari integration in CI with offline OpenAPI-derived contracts, synthetic job lifecycles, schema drift checks, and secret scanning. Use when adding release gates. Trigger with: "add Clari CI", "test the Clari contract", "gate a Clari release".

Its SKILL.md is about 1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/official-docs.md`). Compatibility notes: Requires a CI runner, synthetic fixtures, a pinned first-party contract fingerprint, and a separately gated non-production credential for optional smoke tests.

It sits in Backend & APIs, covering Secrets management and OpenAPI specifications. It works with OpenAPI. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Adding release gates
  • With: add Clari CI
  • Test the Clari contract
  • Gate a Clari release

Example prompts

  • “add Clari CI”
  • “test the Clari contract”
  • “gate a Clari release”
  • “/clari-ci-integration”

Requirements

  • Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Requires a CI runner, synthetic fixtures, a pinned first-party contract fingerprint, and a separately gated non-production credential for optional smoke tests.
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Read, Grep, Write, Edit

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.

  1. Pin the contract evidence
  2. Test request construction
  3. Test lifecycle behavior
  4. Test data gates
  5. Scan outputs
  6. Separate live smoke testing

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Grep
    • Write
    • Edit

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • developer.clari.com
    • api-doc.copilot.clari.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

  • Compatibility

Requires a CI runner, synthetic fixtures, a pinned first-party contract fingerprint, and a separately gated non-production credential for optional smoke tests.

From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

Context cost

Clari CI Integration loads about 1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.5k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 69 tokens; SKILL.md has 413 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~69
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~1.5k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Clari Contract Validation in CI

Overview

Keep the required CI lane deterministic and credential-free. Test only owned endpoints and transformations offline, while running any provider-connected smoke test as an explicit, non-blocking or separately authorized environment gate.

Prerequisites

  • Pinned endpoint and schema manifest for each used surface
  • Synthetic fixtures for success, empty, throttled, aborted, malformed, and drifted responses
  • Secret scanner and artifact-retention policy

Instructions

Step 1: Pin the contract evidence

Record provider URL, contract version, content fingerprint, extraction date, and the subset of operations the integration owns.

Step 2: Test request construction

Assert exact hosts, methods, paths, headers by name, payload schemas, timeouts, and prohibited mutation defaults.

Step 3: Test lifecycle behavior

Simulate queue, poll, terminal result, cancellation, pagination, 429, timeout, and restart from durable state.

Step 4: Test data gates

Assert schema validation, reconciliation, unknown-field quarantine, redaction, and atomic publication behavior.

Step 5: Scan outputs

Fail on credential patterns, real customer fixtures, unredacted headers, or sensitive payloads in logs and snapshots.

Step 6: Separate live smoke testing

If authorized, run one minimal non-production read with a short timeout and store only a redacted receipt outside the deterministic required lane.

Authentication

Required CI must use dummy credentials and no provider network access. Any live smoke credential comes from protected environment secrets, is restricted to non-production reads, and is never available to forked or untrusted jobs.

Tool Discipline

Use Read and Grep to inspect configuration, provider contracts, fixtures, logs, schemas, and existing tests before proposing a change. Use Write or Edit only for the approved plan, implementation, test, or redacted receipt; do not issue, rotate, revoke, create, update, cancel, delete, export, ingest, or publish provider data without explicit operator approval.

Output

  • Deterministic contract-test and schema-diff reports
  • Secret and test-data hygiene results
  • Optional live-smoke receipt clearly separated from required CI

Return the exact surface, environment, resource or job identifiers, contract fingerprint, evidence, unresolved risks, and final decision without exposing credentials or sensitive customer data.

Examples

A pull request proves forecast job-state handling and warehouse rollback entirely from synthetic fixtures. A protected post-merge job performs one /admin/limits read and publishes only status and timestamp.

Error Handling

FailureResponse
Contract fingerprint changesFail the drift gate until a human reviews endpoints, schemas, limits, and migration impact.
A secret-like value is detectedBlock artifacts and rotate the credential if it could be real.
Live smoke is unavailableKeep deterministic CI authoritative and report the environment check separately.
