anima-common-errorsDiagnose and fix common Anima SDK design-to-code errors. An agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace.
Anima Common Errors is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Diagnose and fix common Anima SDK design-to-code errors. Use when encountering Figma token errors, code generation failures, node not found issues, or output quality problems. Trigger with: "anima error", "anima not working", "anima debug", "figma to code error".
Its SKILL.md is about 1.6k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/official-docs.md`). Compatibility notes: Requires Node.js 20+, approved Anima API access, current Anima SDK documentation, and authorized Figma or website source access
It sits in Frontend & Design, covering Design to code. It works with Figma. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 80f86df. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
ReadWriteEditBash(curl:*)GrepFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
curljqnodeFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
api.figma.comAlso links to:
docs.animaapp.comfigma.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
FIGMA_TOKENFIGMA_FILE_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Requires Node.js 20+, approved Anima API access, current Anima SDK documentation, and authorized Figma or website source access
From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Anima Common Errors loads about 1.6k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.8k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 71 tokens; SKILL.md has 612 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace at commit 80f86df, republished under its MIT licence (© jeremylongshore). 612 words, ~1,636 tokens.
.claude/skills/anima-common-errors/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Use this guide to diagnose design-to-code failures without widening design-file access or leaking tokens. Start from a reproducible file/node/settings tuple and use a least-privilege development credential for all verification.

# Verify Figma token
curl -s "https://api.figma.com/v1/me" \
-H "X-Figma-Token: ${FIGMA_TOKEN}" | jq '.handle // .err'
# Verify file access
curl -s "https://api.figma.com/v1/files/${FIGMA_FILE_KEY}" \
-H "X-Figma-Token: ${FIGMA_TOKEN}" | jq '.name // .err'Use Read and Grep to inspect the existing integration and generated diff before changing anything. Use Write or Edit only inside the approved generated-code, test, or configuration paths. Use the declared Bash commands only for the explicit install, validation, or diagnostic steps in this workflow; never print tokens, source designs, generated source, or private website captures.
When a staging generation returns Node not found, compare the copied node ID
with the approved Figma link, then run the file-access diagnostic using a scoped
development token. Regenerate only that small frame after correcting the ID and
confirm files are emitted to the expected generated-code directory. If access
is denied, the node remains hidden, or output is empty, stop the run and ask
the file owner to correct permissions or visibility; do not expand the token’s
scope or substitute a personal token to get past the error.
| Failure | Response |
|---|---|
| Token is invalid, expired, or over-scoped | Stop the diagnostic, replace it through managed secret rotation, and avoid logging the value. |
| File or node cannot be resolved | Verify the approved link and visibility with the design owner before retrying. |
| Generator times out or rate-limits | Use bounded backoff or simplify the fixture; do not fan out uncontrolled retries. |
| Generated output is unsafe or wrong | Keep it out of the main branch, correct source design/settings, and rerun targeted validation. |

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Anima Common Errors needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl, jq and node) and credentials named FIGMA_TOKEN and FIGMA_FILE_KEY. Our summary lists: Node.js; A credential in FIGMA_TOKEN; A credential in FIGMA_FILE_KEY. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Write, Edit, Bash(curl:*), Grep. Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Requires Node.js 20+, approved Anima API access, current Anima SDK documentation, and authorized Figma or website source access.
SKILL.md names 3 domains. In commands or code: api.figma.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. As links in the text: docs.animaapp.com and figma.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Anima Common Errors is published under the MIT licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.6k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 189 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
