video-reportEdits a video transcript or long text into a self-contained HTML reading report, organized by what the content is about instead of a fixed outline.
You give the agent a full transcript or subtitle file (plain text, Markdown or SRT) and it writes a single report.html that opens on its own. The agent reads the source to the end, chooses between a standard and a brief reading mode, and loads only the template that mode points to.
Before drafting, it picks one main editing profile from five (mechanism, procedure, evidence, argument or narrative), plus at most one secondary profile, and reads only the matching reference files. Sponsored or sales segments are identified from context and left out of the report, while the original transcript, source IDs and timestamps stay untouched. A video description you supply is placed in a collapsed block under the header rather than rewritten. The skill's instructions and templates are written in Chinese.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 094de62. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Video Transcript Report Builder loads about 1.9k tokens when it runs, and up to ~4.2k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 23 tokens; SKILL.md has 219 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 219 words (~1,901 tokens).

Video Transcript Report Builder fits situations like: turning a long video transcript into a report that can be skimmed or read closely; converting an SRT subtitle file into a structured HTML write-up of a talk; writing up a tutorial video as organized notes without the sponsor segments; condensing an interview or lecture recording into a readable argument or story.
Run `npx skills add imexlovery/video-report-agent --skill video-report -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (src/video_report_agent/skills/video-report in imexlovery/video-report-agent) into .claude/skills/video-report in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add imexlovery/video-report-agent --skill video-report -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (src/video_report_agent/skills/video-report in imexlovery/video-report-agent) into .agents/skills/video-report in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add imexlovery/video-report-agent --skill video-report -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/video-report, .gemini/skills/video-report, .github/skills/video-report and .opencode/skills/video-report in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Video Transcript Report Builder is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: A complete transcript or subtitle file as the source.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Video Transcript Report Builder or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.9k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 2.3k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
