npm-publishPublish packages to npm registry. An agent skill from htekdev/vidpipe.
npm Publish is an agent skill from htekdev/vidpipe. Publish packages to npm registry. Use this skill when asked to publish, release, or deploy a package to npm. Handles granular access token creation, authentication, and publishing with 2FA bypass.
Its SKILL.md is about 770 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It works with npm. The repository describes itself as: CLI tool that auto-processes video recordings: transcribes, removes silence, generates captions, creates shorts, social posts, and more.
6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 99a5378. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
npmFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
npmjs.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
npm Publish loads about 768 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 52 tokens; SKILL.md has 352 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found patterns that need a careful read before installing.
This removes the token from your local `.npmrc` so it is not accidentally leaked.- Always clean up tokens from local `.npmrc` after publishingAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 352 words (~768 tokens).
“Complete workflow for publishing packages to the npm registry, including granular access token creation via the npmjs.com web UI.”

Publish packages to npm registry. An agent skill from htekdev/vidpipe. npm Publish is an agent skill from htekdev/vidpipe. Publish packages to npm registry.
npm Publish fits situations like: asked to publish; deploy a package to npm.
Run `npx skills add htekdev/vidpipe --skill npm-publish -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.github/skills/npm-publish in htekdev/vidpipe) into .claude/skills/npm-publish in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add htekdev/vidpipe --skill npm-publish -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.github/skills/npm-publish in htekdev/vidpipe) into .agents/skills/npm-publish in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add htekdev/vidpipe --skill npm-publish -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/npm-publish, .gemini/skills/npm-publish, .github/skills/npm-publish and .opencode/skills/npm-publish in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, npm Publish needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npm).
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: npmjs.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md flagged 2 warning(s): mentions a credentials file (ssh keys, cloud or package-manager tokens). Read the flagged lines before installing; the check is not a guarantee either way.
No licence was found for npm Publish or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 768 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
