Review Schema is an agent skill from hashicorp/terraform-provider-aws, published by the product's own GitHub organization. Review Terraform AWS Provider Plugin Framework schema shape: model structs, Required/Optional/Computed combinations, plan modifiers (no ForceNew), nested-block custom types, validators, sensitive attributes, and timeouts. Use when reviewing a PR that changes resource or data-source schema in internal/service//.go.
Its SKILL.md is about 1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Infrastructure as code. It works with Terraform and Amazon Web Services. The repository describes itself as: The AWS Provider enables Terraform to manage AWS resources. The licence is MPL-2.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 64d3359. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are go).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Review Schema loads about 1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 83 tokens; SKILL.md has 377 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from hashicorp/terraform-provider-aws at commit 64d3359, republished under its MPL-2.0 licence (© hashicorp). 377 words, ~1,029 tokens.

Assume the @maintainer persona. Scope: model struct, attributes, blocks, validators, plan modifiers, timeouts on non-test resource code. Loaded from review-pr.
type fooResourceModel struct {
framework.WithRegionModel // first field; omit for global services only
// attributes...
Timeouts timeouts.Value `tfsdk:"timeouts"` // only when a timeouts block is present
}framework.WithRegionModel is the first embedded field for regional resources/data sources/list resources. Global services (CloudFront, IAM, Route 53 hosted zones, etc.) omit it and register with inttypes.ResourceRegionDisabled().tfsdk tags must match schema attribute names exactly (snake_case).types.String, etc.) and fwtypes.ListNestedObjectValueOf[T] for nested blocks.timetypes.RFC3339, never types.String.snake_case.Attributes and within Blocks. No blank lines between attributes.internal/names constants (names.AttrARN, names.AttrName, names.AttrTags, names.AttrTagsAll, names.AttrTimeouts, etc.) instead of string literals when one exists.Only four valid combinations. Flag any other.
| Required | Optional | Computed | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| ✓ | User must supply | ||
| ✓ | User may supply; never use Default here | ||
| ✓ | Read-only | ||
| ✓ | ✓ | User or provider supplies; required pairing for Default |
Prefer Optional + Computed over Optional + Default when AWS supplies a server-side default.
id attributePlugin Framework does not require an id attribute. Include names.AttrID: framework.IDAttribute() only when the AWS API returns an Id field. Flag schemas that include it on ARN-identified resources just by habit.
ForceNew)Plugin Framework uses plan modifiers, not ForceNew. Flag any new Framework code that mentions ForceNew.
stringplanmodifier.RequiresReplace() — replaces ForceNew: truestringplanmodifier.UseStateForUnknown() — keeps a computed value stable across plansMaxItems/MinItemsUse listvalidator.SizeAtMost(N) / SizeAtLeast(N) (and setvalidator equivalents) on the block, not MaxItems/MinItems on the attribute. For a single nested object, combine listvalidator.SizeAtMost(1) with a list nested block.
schema.ListNestedBlock requires CustomType: fwtypes.NewListNestedObjectTypeOf[complexArgumentModel](ctx). The model field is fwtypes.ListNestedObjectValueOf[complexArgumentModel]. Flag nested blocks that omit CustomType.
For sets of strings, use CustomType: fwtypes.SetOfStringType with fwtypes.SetValueOf[types.String].
For AWS API map blocks, the provider schema has no map-of-objects type — use MapBlockKey. Flag attempts to model AWS map blocks with schema.MapAttribute.
Mark credentials, tokens, and write-only secrets Sensitive: true. Flag computed or required attributes that obviously hold secret material but aren't marked sensitive.
Resources with configurable timeouts use timeouts.Block(ctx, timeouts.Opts{Create: true, Update: true, Delete: true}) and set defaults via r.SetDefaultCreateTimeout / SetDefaultUpdateTimeout / SetDefaultDeleteTimeout that reflect AWS API behavior — RDS Create can take 30–60 minutes; an EC2 SG takes seconds. Don't use arbitrary round numbers. Data sources and list resources do not expose configurable timeouts.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Review Schema is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Review Schema is published under the MPL-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
