Its SKILL.md is about 750 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: claude-carbon: track the carbon footprint of your Claude Code sessions. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit d7313ff. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
jqbashFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Carbon PR loads about 745 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 21 tokens; SKILL.md has 138 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from gwittebolle/claude-carbon at commit d7313ff, republished under its MIT licence (© gwittebolle). 138 words, ~745 tokens.

bash "$REPO_DIR/scripts/generate-pr-report.sh"The script sums the local Claude Code sessions recorded for the current branch of the current project and posts (or updates in place) one sticky comment on the branch's open PR, through the user's own gh auth. Report its final line to the user as printed; never recompute or reformat the numbers.
If it reports no sessions for the branch, tell the user that only sessions recorded since the git_branch column exists carry a branch, and that scripts/backfill.sh repairs older rows while their transcripts are still on disk. If it reports no open PR, suggest pushing the branch and opening one first, or passing --pr <number>. If the script itself is missing (an install that predates it), suggest /carbon-update.

redis/RedisInsight
Create and name git branches following project conventions. An agent skill from redis/RedisInsight.
github/awesome-copilot
Create Git branches following the Conventional Branch specification (feature/, bugfix/, hotfix/, release/, chore/).
obra/superpowers
Walks the last step of a branch: confirm tests pass, detect the git environment, ask how to integrate, carry out your choice and clean up the worktree.
ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills
Automate Carbone tasks via Rube MCP (Composio). An agent skill from ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills.
makeplane/plane
Names a new Git branch with a type prefix, the lowercased work item ID and a short kebab-case description, so the ID can be extracted later from the branch name.
K-Dense-AI/scientific-agent-skills
Solves seawater carbonate chemistry with PyCO2SYS for chemical oceanography, ocean acidification, and marine carbon-cycle research.

Run `npx skills add gwittebolle/claude-carbon --skill carbon-pr -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/carbon-pr in gwittebolle/claude-carbon) into .claude/skills/carbon-pr in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add gwittebolle/claude-carbon --skill carbon-pr -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/carbon-pr in gwittebolle/claude-carbon) into .agents/skills/carbon-pr in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add gwittebolle/claude-carbon --skill carbon-pr -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/carbon-pr, .gemini/skills/carbon-pr, .github/skills/carbon-pr and .opencode/skills/carbon-pr in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Carbon PR needs the command-line tools its instructions call (jq and bash).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Carbon PR is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 745 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
