Libriscribe Workflow is an agent skill from guerra2fernando/libriscribe. Work with local LibriScribe book projects through its MCP tools.
Its SKILL.md is about 410 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Agent Workflows. The repository describes itself as: Libriscribe is an AI-powered open-source book creation system. The system is designed to help you write your book, from initial concept to a polished manuscript. It uses a… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 307b24e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Libriscribe Workflow loads about 407 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 21 tokens; SKILL.md has 217 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/libriscribe-workflow/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). For a writing workflow, call list_projects first. If the user wants a new project, call create_project with structured project fields; it creates an empty local project without an LLM call. Select the returned or user-selected project identifier, then inspect get_project_status before acting.
Generate or edit one artifact at a time. generate_outline, write_chapter, edit_chapter, and PDF format_book may call the configured provider and incur provider cost. Inspect the result and status after each operation. Before retrying a failed or possibly interrupted operation, review its recovery guidance and inspect the target artifact; retry only that one explicit operation.
For a user-authored edit, call get_chapter, retain its revision_token, then call replace_chapter_text with the complete revised text and token. This manual operation makes no LLM call, uses optimistic concurrency, and cannot create a missing chapter version. Call get_chapter again to inspect the saved text and new token. Markdown formatting and project creation do not call an LLM.
For read workflows, inspect status, then read the relevant chapter or search. Retrieval search only works when a local index already exists. check_narrative makes no LLM call.
Never invent a project identifier, pass a filesystem path as the project, or claim success unless the tool confirms a nonempty artifact. Generation defaults to refusing overwrite. If overwriting is explicitly requested, inspect the old artifact first.

Libriscribe Workflow fits situations like: agent Workflows work in your project.
Run `npx skills add guerra2fernando/libriscribe --skill libriscribe-workflow -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/codex-libriscribe/skills/libriscribe-workflow in guerra2fernando/libriscribe) into .claude/skills/libriscribe-workflow in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add guerra2fernando/libriscribe --skill libriscribe-workflow -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/codex-libriscribe/skills/libriscribe-workflow in guerra2fernando/libriscribe) into .agents/skills/libriscribe-workflow in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add guerra2fernando/libriscribe --skill libriscribe-workflow -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/libriscribe-workflow, .gemini/skills/libriscribe-workflow, .github/skills/libriscribe-workflow and .opencode/skills/libriscribe-workflow in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Libriscribe Workflow is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Libriscribe Workflow is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 407 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
