Flow Next Prose is an agent skill from gmickel/flow-next. Use while drafting any substantial reply, report, review walkthrough, or summary for the user - read the artifact prose contract before writing, not after, and draft under its rules. Do not use for short conversational turns, tool-call narration, the visual digest, or output that lands in a file, PR, or tracker (those artifact surfaces carry their own pointers). Also invocable directly as /flow-next:prose [draft].
Its SKILL.md is about 410 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Media & Creative, covering Text to speech and voice. The repository describes itself as: Faster than your agent alone. And better. A workflow plugin that takes a bug, idea or ticket to a verified pull request: specs, cross-model review by risk, live QA, receipts in… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 09e291e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
ReadFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Flow Next Prose loads about 405 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 108 tokens; SKILL.md has 173 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from gmickel/flow-next at commit 09e291e, republished under its MIT licence (© gmickel). 173 words, ~405 tokens.
.claude/skills/flow-next-prose/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Ambient triggering is host-discretionary on every host: the host matches this skill's description at the moment the agent begins drafting a substantial reply.
The agent reads the prose contract at docs/prose.md, resolved relative to this SKILL.md file's own location. If the doc is absent, the skill proceeds without it and never blocks the reply.
The agent applies the contract's rules 1-10 at draft time and writes the reply under them from the first draft.
The reply-dormant parts of the doc are the precedence section's dedup-marker and projection bullets, which stay idle for replies. Rule 8 (user-outcome-first ordering) softens to lead with the answer. Rule 10 (honesty) stays fully active.
The agent never rewrites quoted material, code, or command output, and never restyles the user's words where they are being quoted back. A draft the user hands the skill as the /flow-next:prose <draft> argument is submitted for tightening, so the agent rewrites it under the contract.
Pass the identity (the path above). Never copy rule text from the doc into this skill.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Flow Next Prose is instructions for the agent only. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 405 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
