platform-quick-deployDeploy validated metadata to a Production Salesforce org without re-running tests.
Platform Quick Deploy is an agent skill from forcedotcom/sf-skills. Deploy validated metadata to a Production Salesforce org without re-running tests. TRIGGER when the user wants to deploy to production, says 'quick deploy', 'promote', 'ship to prod', or has just validated and wants to push the change live. REQUIRES a recent sf project deploy validate job ID (≤10 days old, ≤3 days for --use-most-recent). DO NOT TRIGGER for sandbox/scratch deploys (use platform-metadata-deploy) or unvalidated deploys (use platform-deploy-validate first).
Its SKILL.md is about 1.2k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Sales & Support, covering CRM management. It works with Salesforce. The repository describes itself as: Salesforce's curated collection of agent skills for building applications. Optimized for Agentforce Vibes, compatible with all AI tools. The licence is Apache-2.0.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit e5164d9. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
BashReadFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
sfFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Platform Quick Deploy loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 125 tokens; SKILL.md has 470 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
allowed-tools: Bash, ReadAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from forcedotcom/sf-skills at commit e5164d9, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© forcedotcom). 470 words, ~1,202 tokens.
.claude/skills/platform-quick-deploy/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Promote a validated deploy to a Production org using the job ID from a prior sf project deploy validate. No tests re-run, no components re-validated — just the promotion.
Before doing ANYTHING, verify all four:
Target is Production
Confirm the target really is production with the gate's classifier, which resolves the org the same way the deploy hook does (returns production|sandbox|scratch|trial|unknown):
"${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/sf-deploy-gate" bucket <alias>Production means not a scratch org or sandbox (no -- or test.salesforce.com host marker) and not a trial/Developer Edition org (orgfarm-*, *.develop.my.salesforce.com, *.pc-rnd.* hosts, or a future trial expiration date, as on SDOs). A Dev Hub with none of those signals is production.
If target is NOT production (classifier returns anything other than production) → STOP and redirect to platform-metadata-deploy (which handles non-prod natively). unknown means the org type could not be confirmed (usually an incomplete org record). Say so plainly: the deploy gate still allows the deploy, auto-deploy on save stays off for that org, and re-authenticating with sf org login web usually restores the classification.

Deploy validated metadata to a Production Salesforce org without re-running tests. Platform Quick Deploy is an agent skill from forcedotcom/sf-skills. Deploy validated metadata to a Production Salesforce org without re-running tests.
Platform Quick Deploy fits situations like: the user wants to deploy to production; says quick deploy; has just validated and wants to push the change live; sandbox/scratch deploys (use platform-metadata-deploy).
Run `npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill platform-quick-deploy -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/builder/salesforce-development/skills/platform-quick-deploy in forcedotcom/sf-skills) into .claude/skills/platform-quick-deploy in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill platform-quick-deploy -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (plugins/builder/salesforce-development/skills/platform-quick-deploy in forcedotcom/sf-skills) into .agents/skills/platform-quick-deploy in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill platform-quick-deploy -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/platform-quick-deploy, .gemini/skills/platform-quick-deploy, .github/skills/platform-quick-deploy and .opencode/skills/platform-quick-deploy in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Platform Quick Deploy needs the command-line tools its instructions call (sf). Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Read.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Platform Quick Deploy is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
