dxos-code-styleDXOS TypeScript authoring conventions. An agent skill from dxos/dxos.
Dxos Code Style is an agent skill from dxos/dxos. DXOS TypeScript authoring conventions. Use when writing or refactoring code — namespace-export packages, internal module imports, class member ordering, options-bag types, function overloads, the no-cast rule, the no-suppressing-unhandled-errors rule, the comment rule (say why, once), and test structure.
Its SKILL.md is about 3.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Development, covering Refactoring. It works with TypeScript. The repository describes itself as: TypeScript implementation of the DXOS protocols, SDK, toolchain and Composer.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit f0fc12a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Dxos Code Style loads about 3.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 80 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,477 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,477 words (~3,080 tokens).
“Authoring conventions for the DXOS monorepo. The always-on subset lives in AGENTS.md; this skill holds the detail. Use @dxos/echo as the reference implementation for the namespace-export pattern.”
Just SKILL.md in .agents/skills/code-style of dxos/dxos.

Dxos Code Style fits situations like: refactoring code — namespace-export packages; internal module imports; class member ordering; options-bag types.
Run `npx skills add dxos/dxos --skill dxos-code-style -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/code-style in dxos/dxos) into .claude/skills/dxos-code-style in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add dxos/dxos --skill dxos-code-style -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/code-style in dxos/dxos) into .agents/skills/dxos-code-style in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add dxos/dxos --skill dxos-code-style -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/dxos-code-style, .gemini/skills/dxos-code-style, .github/skills/dxos-code-style and .opencode/skills/dxos-code-style in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Dxos Code Style needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Dxos Code Style has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 3.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 12k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
