At a glance

Spins up a persistent OpenWork Cloud Den demo on a Daytona sandbox, seeds it with Acme Robotics data and returns shareable URLs and login details.

  • Preparing a demo instance of OpenWork Cloud for a presentation
  • SKILL.md covers Goal, Fast Path, Seed Demo Data and Keep It Running, plus 3 more sections
  • Calls curl, bash and git; needs DEN_DB_ENCRYPTION_KEY and BETTER_AUTH_SECRET
  • Seeding the Den database with sample organization data

What it does

This skill sets up a shareable OpenWork Cloud (Den) demo on a Daytona sandbox. From the repo root it runs the .devcontainer/test-server-on-daytona.sh helper with the current branch and a stable sandbox name, falling back to a dated suffix when the name already exists, then captures the Den Web and Den API URLs the helper prints.

Once the Den stack is healthy, it seeds the database with an Acme Robotics demo organization and a demo owner account, reusing the encryption and auth secrets from .devcontainer/start-daytona-server.sh. Because the sandbox has auto-stop enabled, it keeps the demo warm with a local keepalive loop that pings the Den API every 30 minutes when the CLI cannot change auto-stop afterward, and explains how to stop that loop later. Validation checks the health endpoints on both the API and web routes and signs in as the demo account through Den Web auth. The result handed back is the URLs and demo login details, ready to paste.

When your agent uses it

  • Preparing a demo instance of OpenWork Cloud for a presentation
  • Seeding the Den database with sample organization data
  • Keeping a Daytona demo sandbox from auto-stopping
  • Checking the health endpoints and demo login before sharing a link

Example prompts

  • “Spin up a seeded OpenWork Cloud demo on Daytona and give me the URLs and login.”
  • “Our Daytona demo sandbox keeps stopping, so set up the keepalive.”
  • “Reseed the demo and validate the sign-in before I send it to the customer.”

Requirements

  • The Daytona CLI
  • A checkout of the OpenWork repository with its .devcontainer scripts

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ad22cdc. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • curl
    • bash
    • git
    • pnpm
    • sh
    • rg

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use curl, git and pnpm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • DEN_DB_ENCRYPTION_KEY
    • BETTER_AUTH_SECRET

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Daytona Seeded Cloud Demo loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 50 tokens; SKILL.md has 342 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~50
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.3k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 342 words (~1,259 tokens).

“Use this skill to quickly create a persistent-enough OpenWork Cloud/Den Daytona server demo, seed it with Acme Robotics demo data, validate the login, and return copy-pasteable demo details.”
