peated-writingWrites and reviews user-facing Peated copy in the product's voice.
Peated Writing is an agent skill from dcramer/peated. Writes and reviews user-facing Peated copy in the product's voice. Use for interface labels, empty states, errors, help text, announcements, marketing, rewrites, and Peated voice or copy reviews. Do not use for code comments or technical documentation that does not speak to customers.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Development, covering Technical documentation. The licence is Apache-2.0.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit aee6890. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Peated Writing loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 75 tokens; SKILL.md has 572 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from dcramer/peated at commit aee6890, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© dcramer). 572 words, ~1,296 tokens.

Serious about the record. Light about the drinking.
Identify the surface before writing. Reduce humour as the reader's frustration rises.

|---|---|
| Empty states, first run, passports, tier names | Dry wit is allowed |
| Labels, headings, and tables | Plain and specific; wit only when clarity is unchanged |
| Forms in progress | Plain and helpful |

Never joke about a person's data, taste, or spending. Joke about the hobby in general or about Peated.
Avoid these terms in customer-facing copy:

A dram of remarkable provenance, matured for forty-six years.46 years old and absolutely sending it. When reviewing, preserve the intended meaning and interface constraints. Give a replacement for each issue. Explain only decisions that need human judgment.
Before finishing, check that the copy is clear without the joke, contains no unverified claim, uses the right frustration register, and sounds neither like a press release nor a drinking club.

SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
