What it does

Gpt Review is an agent skill from davidondrej/skills. Launch an independent GPT code review and return it verbatim. Use only when the user explicitly invokes /gpt-review.

Its SKILL.md is about 390 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`).

It sits in Development. The repository describes itself as: access to david ondrej's personal agent skills. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Explicitly invokes /gpt-review

Example prompts

  • “/gpt-review”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 7874889. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Gpt Review loads about 394 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 32 tokens; SKILL.md has 183 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~32
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

GPT Review

Use GPT-6 Astra Extra High through Codex, orchestrated by the configured review harness.

Run

Read the configured review harness instructions and follow its launch checks. Discover provider/model/effort IDs rather than guessing. Reuse the current environment, including uncommitted work, and use the harness's documented coordination options when coordinating.

If the user names another harness, read its skill and use it with the same model, effort, workspace, brief, and output requirements. Report unavailable model/effort as blockers; never silently downgrade.

Review brief

Give neutral context: scope, paths, intended behavior, and diff/base revision. Ask for a thorough senior-developer review, including related code and tests, without steering toward suspected bugs, solutions, or verdicts. Review only; do not change files. Request a concise plain-English report of serious or critical issues, fixes, and production merge readiness. Distinguish verified findings from uncertainty and identify validation gaps.

Result

Use the selected harness's documented wait and output mechanisms. Verify this review actually completed; idle status, timeouts, and queued retries are not completion. Report blockers rather than presenting partial output as a finished review.

Return the completed reviewer's full final response verbatim.
