What it does

Test File Parser Security is an agent skill from cyberful/cyberful. Route file-ingestion security work across processing pipelines, deserialization and object binding, and SOAP or XML services. Use for uploads, archives, path handling, document or media transformation, unsafe reconstruction, XML external entities, parser differentials, or parser-isolation questions before selecting the specialist procedure.

Its SKILL.md is about 600 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`).

It sits in Security. The repository describes itself as: Cyberful is an open-source AI Red Team for discovering, exploiting, verifying, and remediating vulnerabilities. The licence is AGPL-3.0.

When your agent uses it

  • Media transformation
  • Unsafe reconstruction
  • XML external entities
  • Parser differentials

Example prompts

  • “/test-file-parser-security”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ec598a6. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Test File Parser Security loads about 600 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 92 tokens; SKILL.md has 185 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~92
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~600

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Test File and Parser Security

Use this entrypoint only for triage and shared invariants. Read the selected specialist's SKILL.md completely before applying its procedure.

Route the artifact

  • Upload, storage, archive extraction, path resolution, scanners, converters, renderers, derived files, or sandbox transitions: trace-file-processing-pipelines.
  • Native or language object reconstruction, polymorphic binding, gadget reachability, type selection, or unsafe serializer configuration: test-deserialization-object-binding.
  • SOAP envelopes, XML schemas, entity resolution, XInclude, XPath, signatures, namespaces, or XML service policy: test-soap-xml-services.

If one artifact crosses several boundaries, trace the full processing pipeline first, then invoke the deserialization or SOAP/XML specialist only at the relevant stage.

Preserve shared invariants

Record the original bytes and hash, accepting interface, content metadata, storage name, canonical resolved paths, every parser and transformation, execution identity, filesystem and network reach, resource limits, derived artifacts, cleanup, and the final consumer. Extension or MIME acceptance is a primitive; confirm what the downstream component actually reads, writes, resolves, fetches, renders, instantiates, or executes.

Use minimal, bounded fixtures and controlled destinations. Stop when a parser becomes unstable, resource ceilings are approached, or the next step would leave authorized storage, filesystem, network, or execution boundaries.
