operate-kubernetes-toolchainOperate kubectl, kube-bench, Trivy, Prowler, and manifest/runtime evidence for advanced Kubernetes security assessment.
Operate Kubernetes Toolchain is an agent skill from cyberful/cyberful. Operate kubectl, kube-bench, Trivy, Prowler, and manifest/runtime evidence for advanced Kubernetes security assessment. Use for context and RBAC mapping, workload-identity analysis, admission and Pod Security review, node benchmark interpretation, secret and network boundary review, cluster escape-path analysis, or reconciliation of declared manifests with live objects.
Its SKILL.md is about 900 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 4 other files, including reference files (for example `agents/openai.yaml` and `references/kubernetes-fieldbook.md`).
It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Container orchestration, Authorization and RBAC and Security review. It works with Kubernetes and Trivy. The repository describes itself as: Cyberful is an open-source AI Red Team for discovering, exploiting, verifying, and remediating vulnerabilities. The licence is AGPL-3.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ec598a6. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Operate Kubernetes Toolchain loads about 898 tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.5k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 100 tokens; SKILL.md has 330 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from cyberful/cyberful at commit ec598a6, republished under its AGPL-3.0 licence (© cyberful). 330 words, ~898 tokens.
.claude/skills/operate-kubernetes-toolchain/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 2 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Analyze Kubernetes as interacting API, admission, workload, identity, network, node, and cloud control planes. A manifest-only review and a cluster-only scan each omit decisive evidence.
Before using kubectl, record kubeconfig source, current context, server certificate identity, cluster UID if observable, namespace, user, impersonation settings, API version, and current authorization. Never rely on the context name alone.
Build a collection ledger for cluster-scoped and namespaced resource types, API discovery failures, forbidden responses, pagination, omitted CRDs, and namespaces not visible to the current principal.
Enumerate role bindings, cluster role bindings, aggregated roles, service accounts, token projection, impersonation, escalation/bind permissions, webhook-dependent authorization, and cloud workload identity. Use auth can-i checks as probes, not a complete graph: resource names, subresources, non-resource URLs, admission behavior, and external identity still require inspection.
Read references/kubernetes-fieldbook.md for high-value primitives and benchmark caveats.
Compare source manifests, Helm/Kustomize output, GitOps desired state, and live objects. Focus on mutated defaults, injected sidecars, generated RBAC, image digest drift, ephemeral containers, admission exemptions, runtime classes, host mounts, device access, capabilities, seccomp/AppArmor/SELinux, and service-account token behavior.
Scan images and IaC with Trivy, then verify critical findings against the exact running image digest and pod spec.
Run kube-bench only where host files, process state, and configuration paths are actually mounted and visible. Select the benchmark matching distribution and Kubernetes version. Treat skipped or missing-file checks as coverage gaps, especially on managed control planes where the provider owns components.
Trace from exposed workload to service account, secret/config access, API permissions, adjacent namespaces, node primitives, cloud metadata/workload identity, registry, CI/GitOps controller, and control-plane influence. Evaluate NetworkPolicy in both directions and include DNS, host networking, node-local services, and policy-engine coverage.
Preserve context identity, visibility ledger, API errors, live object excerpts, desired/live diffs, RBAC paths, benchmark profile and mount assumptions, image digests, and bounded proof. Separate "not allowed," "not visible," "not applicable," and "not tested."

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Operate Kubernetes Toolchain is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Operate Kubernetes Toolchain is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 898 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 604 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
