hyperliquidTrades crypto perpetuals and HIP-3 stocks and commodities on Hyperliquid from the terminal with the hl CLI, including live position tracking and multiple accounts.
Trading goes through hl, the command-line client installed with npm install -g hyperliquid-cli, which places and manages orders on the Hyperliquid exchange. The skill covers crypto perpetuals such as BTC, ETH and SOL at margin multiples of up to 50x, and HIP-3 markets for stocks like AAPL and NVDA and commodities like GOLD and SILVER, which trade around the clock. hl markets ls shows the available HIP-3 markets.
Trading needs a Hyperliquid API wallet. You either add its private key to local storage with hl account add, which also lets you keep and switch between several accounts, or set it in HYPERLIQUID_PRIVATE_KEY. Positions can be watched live over WebSocket with color-coded profit and loss.
An optional background server, started with hl server start, keeps WebSocket connections open and caches market data, which the skill says cuts a price query from about 200 ms to about 5 ms. examples.md and reference.md hold command examples and details. Orders placed this way are live trades, so check each one before it runs.
3 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit c32a108. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
HYPERLIQUID_PRIVATE_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Hyperliquid CLI Trading loads about 1.8k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 69 tokens; SKILL.md has 556 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Run `npx skills add chrisling-dev/hyperliquid-cli --skill hyperliquid -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/hyperliquid in chrisling-dev/hyperliquid-cli) into .claude/skills/hyperliquid in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add chrisling-dev/hyperliquid-cli --skill hyperliquid -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/hyperliquid, .gemini/skills/hyperliquid, .github/skills/hyperliquid and .opencode/skills/hyperliquid in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Hyperliquid CLI Trading needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npm) and credentials named HYPERLIQUID_PRIVATE_KEY. Our summary lists: npm, to install the hyperliquid-cli package; A Hyperliquid API wallet private key for trading; Network access to Hyperliquid.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Hyperliquid CLI Trading is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
