code-mate-geminiRuns Gemini CLI once in headless JSON mode for repository analysis or coding work, keeping its approvals read-only unless you ask for changes.
This skill lets the agent pass a task to Gemini CLI and bring the answer back, which also suits comparing Gemini's result with another coding agent's. The call is `gemini -p` with `--output-format json`, run from the exact project you named under a finite timeout, normally 10 minutes, after a `command -v gemini` check.
The JSON response is parsed, and a JSON error or a nonzero exit counts as failure. Interactive Gemini and any authentication flow are off limits, so if setup is incomplete the agent stops and asks you to finish it in Code Mate. The headless approval policy stays at its read-only default. When you explicitly want workspace changes, only the narrowest policy and tool permissions needed may be granted, never unrestricted approval.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit dd0767e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Gemini CLI Delegation loads about 334 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 47 tokens; SKILL.md has 170 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/code-mate-gemini/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).command -v gemini. If it is missing, stop and ask the user to install Gemini CLI in Code Mate.gemini -p "<prompt>" --output-format jsonPass the prompt as one quoted argument. Parse the JSON result and treat a JSON error or nonzero exit as failure. Never start interactive Gemini or an authentication flow.
If Gemini reports missing authentication, project, or provider configuration, stop and ask the user to finish Gemini setup in Code Mate. Never request, read, print, or copy credentials.
Keep headless approval policy at its read-only default. Only when the user explicitly requests workspace changes may the command use the narrowest policy and tool permissions needed; do not enable unrestricted approval.
Example: ask Gemini to review a module without editing, run the command above from the repository, and summarize the parsed response and any reported error.

Gemini CLI Delegation fits situations like: delegating a repository review to Gemini CLI; comparing Gemini's answer to a bug with another coding agent's answer; having Gemini make a narrowly scoped edit you have approved.
Run `npx skills add CherryHQ/cherry-studio --skill code-mate-gemini -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (resources/code-cli-skills/code-mate-gemini in CherryHQ/cherry-studio) into .claude/skills/code-mate-gemini in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add CherryHQ/cherry-studio --skill code-mate-gemini -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (resources/code-cli-skills/code-mate-gemini in CherryHQ/cherry-studio) into .agents/skills/code-mate-gemini in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add CherryHQ/cherry-studio --skill code-mate-gemini -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/code-mate-gemini, .gemini/skills/code-mate-gemini, .github/skills/code-mate-gemini and .opencode/skills/code-mate-gemini in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Gemini CLI Delegation needs the command-line tools its instructions call (gemini). Our summary lists: Gemini CLI installed through Code Mate; Gemini authentication and project setup already finished.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Gemini CLI Delegation is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 334 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
