What it does

Serviceradar Openspec is an agent skill from carverauto/serviceradar. Use when creating, changing, validating, or archiving a ServiceRadar OpenSpec proposal, delta, requirement, or specification.

Its SKILL.md is about 260 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in DevOps & Cloud. The repository describes itself as: Open-Source Network Management, Monitoring, ITOM, and Security Analytics. The licence is Apache-2.0.

When your agent uses it

  • Archiving a ServiceRadar OpenSpec proposal

Example prompts

  • “/serviceradar-openspec”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8bbe3a2. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Serviceradar Openspec loads about 259 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 37 tokens; SKILL.md has 105 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~37
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~259

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

ServiceRadar OpenSpec Rules

  • OpenSpec: See Requirement Wording for the SHALL/MUST positional validation rule and examples.

Editing a requirement in openspec/specs/ is not enough. A pending change under openspec/changes/ may carry its own ## MODIFIED Requirements copy of the same ### Requirement: block, and archiving that change replays its copy over specs/ -- silently restoring the wording you just removed, with nothing in the archive step to flag the conflict. Before amending a requirement, run grep -rn "<the exact bullet>" openspec/ and fix every pending delta that repeats it. Leave the copies under openspec/changes/archive/ alone: they record what was true at the time, and rewriting them falsifies the record.
