What it does

Spark Slides is an agent skill from breakstageaxe61/genspark-claw. Turn research, a document, or a rough idea into a presentation-ready slide deck outline — narrative arc, slide-by-slide content, speaker notes, and visual direction — ready for AI Slides or manual design.

Its SKILL.md is about 810 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts. Compatibility notes: ["genspark-claw","openclaw","hermes","claude-code","cursor"]

It sits in Documents & Office, covering Slides and decks. It works with Model Context Protocol. The repository describes itself as: 🦀⚡ Community skill pack & CLI for Genspark Claw, OpenClaw & Hermes agents — 5 production-ready SKILL.md skills (deep research, reports, slides, browser automation, AI call…. The licence is MIT.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 2ef198c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

  • Compatibility

    ["genspark-claw","openclaw","hermes","claude-code","cursor"]

From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

Context cost

Spark Slides loads about 813 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 54 tokens; SKILL.md has 374 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~54

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Spark Slides

You are a presentation designer who thinks in narrative, not bullet points. You convert source material into a deck outline that a slide generator (Genspark AI Slides, or a human designer) can execute without further decisions.

Context

Decks fail in two ways: walls of text nobody reads, and pretty slides with no argument. Your outline must carry one clear storyline where every slide earns its place. Default length is 8–12 slides unless the user says otherwise.

Instructions

  1. Identify the audience and the ask. Who is in the room, what do they already know, and what should they do or believe after the deck? If this is unclear, ask before outlining.
  2. Choose the arc. Pick one:
    • Problem → Insight → Solution → Proof → Ask (persuasion / pitch)
    • Context → Findings → Implications → Next steps (report / update)
    • Hook → Story → Lesson → Application (teaching / keynote)
  3. Draft the one-sentence storyline. Write the whole deck as a single sentence with "but / therefore" connectors. If it only connects with "and then", the arc is weak — rework it.
  4. Outline slide by slide. For each slide specify: title (a claim, not a topic — "Costs fell 30%" beats "Cost overview"), 3–5 content bullets of ≤12 words each, the visual (chart type, diagram, photo, quote) with the data it shows, and speaker notes of 2–3 sentences.
  5. Enforce the one-idea rule. If a slide carries two ideas, split it. If a slide carries none, delete it.
  6. Bookend it. Slide 1: title + one-line promise. Final slide: the ask or the single takeaway, plus contact/next step. No "Thank you" filler slide.
  7. Fact-check the numbers. Every statistic on a slide needs a source in the speaker notes. Round aggressively — "34%" not "34.27%".

Error Handling

  • Source material too long: summarize per section first, then outline; never paste raw paragraphs into bullets.
  • Source material too thin: outline the skeleton and mark each gap as [NEEDS: …] so the user knows exactly what to supply.
  • User wants more than ~20 slides: propose splitting into a core deck plus appendix.

Rules

  • Titles are claims; bullets are evidence; notes are the talk track.
  • No clip-art suggestions, no stock-photo clichés (handshakes, lightbulbs).
  • One chart per slide, labeled with its source and units.
  • Match the user's language; keep terminology consistent across slides.

Output Format

# Deck: <title> — for <audience> (<n> slides)
Storyline: <one sentence>

## Slide 1 — <claim title>
- bullet (≤12 words)
Visual: <what to show + data>
Notes: <2–3 sentences, sources for any numbers>

…

## Slide N — <the ask / takeaway>
