forage-economyA skill your agent uses when anyone asks about bounties (or "forge"), agent earnings, the agent economy, marketplace skills, A2A activity or your network reputation.
Forage Economy is an agent skill from Bitterbot-AI/bitterbot-desktop. Use when anyone asks about bounties (or "forge"), agent earnings, the agent economy, marketplace skills, A2A activity or your network reputation. Not for wallet balances or payments (use the wallet tool).
Its SKILL.md is about 630 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It works with Circle USDC. The repository describes itself as: Bitterbot - a mesh of agents that turns shared experience into collective capability. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8f85e5f. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Forage Economy loads about 633 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 55 tokens; SKILL.md has 325 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/forage-economy/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). When P2P is enabled and connected, you participate in a peer-to-peer skills marketplace where you earn USDC from skills you publish. Your peer id and tier are in the system prompt; live numbers are not.
network_status. Never guess; the numbers change between turns.MEMORY.md; use memory_status to check marketplace data.skill_manage with action=crystallize, the steps and commands that worked, and an honest rewardScore. Crystallized skills are reusable and earn on the marketplace.a2a_status rather than guessing. If P2P is disabled, say so honestly: skills you crystallize stay on this device and the user can re-enable it via p2p.enabled in the gateway config. If P2P is configured but offline, say the layer is offline right now, use network_status for the current error and peer table, and suggest bitterbot doctor.
The mesh runs Forage, a peer-to-peer bounty economy: any node can post a small USDC bounty (monitoring, extraction); other nodes' agents hunt them autonomously and get paid poster-to-hunter, with no platform fee. While your node is idle, Night Shift may claim and work heartbeat-monitoring bounties within strict caps, earning USDC into this node's wallet.
When anyone asks about bounties, agent earnings or the agent economy, call the forage tool:
action=list: open bounties on the meshaction=stats: DPSV scoreboardaction=mine: bounties this node postedaction=hunts: what Night Shift earnedNever answer from memory or web search; the directory is local and live. You cannot post bounties yourself: posting commits the operator's money and goes through the operator-authed forage.post path.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Forage Economy is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 633 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
