profile-browsingMeasure 5chan loading, navigation, interaction timing, and committed React updates using repeatable scenarios.
Profile Browsing is an agent skill from bitsocialnet/5chan. Measure 5chan loading, navigation, interaction timing, and committed React updates using repeatable scenarios.
Its SKILL.md is about 510 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/measurement.md`).
It works with React. The repository describes itself as: A peer-to-peer 4chan alternative. The licence is GPL-3.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a31f565. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
yarnFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use yarn, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Profile Browsing loads about 507 tokens when it runs, and up to ~2.5k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 32 tokens; SKILL.md has 242 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from bitsocialnet/5chan at commit a31f565, republished under its GPL-3.0 licence (© bitsocialnet). 242 words, ~507 tokens.
.claude/skills/profile-browsing/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Define the affected route/interaction and observable completion. Use scripts/react-perf/config.mjs for covered deterministic flows; do not treat passing settings scenarios as proof about an unvisited feed.
Run corepack yarn perf:check --scenario <name> after a relevant React state/effect/subscription/rendering change. Use corepack yarn perf:record --scenario <name> for JSON and native Chrome traces, optionally --url <origin> to reuse a compatible instrumented server. The approved runner manages its isolated browser, resource lock, and owned server; a delegated profiler may use it directly. Keep browser work and heavy checks serialized and leave preexisting servers untouched. Install the pinned browser with yarn perf:install when absent, and run yarn perf:test after React/Bippy/collector upgrades.
Run corepack yarn doctor:check for source diagnostics on the task diff (--base <base> when the default base is unsuitable). Doctor findings guide investigation; its runtime summary is not a complete rerender counter. Runtime counts come from the bounded window.__REACT_PERF__ Bippy collector, and actual subtree render timing comes from React's Profiler.
Read measurement guidance for covered scenarios, collector limits, profiling builds, and the evidence to return. If a new interaction is needed, the task owner can add an authorized scenario; a read-only profiling child reports the missing coverage without changing product code. Manual browser investigations still use playwright-cli through ./scripts/pw-session.sh.
Compare the same flow with equivalent content, viewport, throttle, build mode, and capture settings. Return measured costs and counts with evidence, separating observed symptoms from suspected causes. Cheap expected updates alone do not justify an optimization.

anthropics/skills
Builds multi-component claude.ai HTML artifacts as a small React, TypeScript and Tailwind project, then bundles it into one shareable HTML file.
supabase/supabase
React composition patterns that scale. An agent skill from supabase/supabase.
makeplane/plane
Scans React code for lint, accessibility, bundle size and architecture issues, reports a health score and checks that changes do not lower it.
remix-run/react-router
Guides work on React Router apps by first identifying whether the app uses Framework, Data or Declarative mode, then loading the matching reference and the installed package docs.
ChrisWiles/claude-code-showcase
Sets patterns for React interfaces: when to show loading spinners or skeletons, how to surface errors, how to disable buttons during async work and how to handle empty lists.
google-labs-code/stitch-skills
Builds walkthrough videos from Stitch design projects using Remotion, with transitions, zoom effects and text overlays on each screen.

Run `npx skills add bitsocialnet/5chan --skill profile-browsing -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/profile-browsing in bitsocialnet/5chan) into .claude/skills/profile-browsing in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add bitsocialnet/5chan --skill profile-browsing -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/profile-browsing in bitsocialnet/5chan) into .agents/skills/profile-browsing in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add bitsocialnet/5chan --skill profile-browsing -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/profile-browsing, .gemini/skills/profile-browsing, .github/skills/profile-browsing and .opencode/skills/profile-browsing in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Profile Browsing needs the command-line tools its instructions call (yarn).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Profile Browsing is published under the GPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 507 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 2k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
