styleseedBuild, improve, or inspect UI with StyleSeed. An agent skill from bitjaru/styleseed.
Styleseed is an agent skill from bitjaru/styleseed. Build, improve, or inspect UI with StyleSeed. Preserves project design choices and routes setup, layout, tokens, review, rendered verification, and updates through one entry point.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 100 other files (for example `workflows/ss-a11y/WORKFLOW.md`, `workflows/ss-audit/WORKFLOW.md` and `workflows/ss-build/WORKFLOW.md`).
It sits in Frontend & Design, covering Design systems. It works with shadcn/ui, Next.js, React and TypeScript. The repository describes itself as: Open-source design-method engine for Claude Code, Codex & Cursor. 23 agent skills for fixed design judgment, multiple grammars, semantic palettes, reference compilation, and… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 257ec70. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Styleseed loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 48 tokens; SKILL.md has 469 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from bitjaru/styleseed at commit 257ec70, republished under its MIT licence (© bitjaru). 469 words, ~1,146 tokens.
.claude/skills/styleseed/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 90 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Use the user's goal to choose one first workflow below. This is the only registered core skill; the 22 workflows and their executable dependencies ship inside this directory. Read only the selected workflow, then references needed for that task.
When .styleseed/project.json and .styleseed/artifacts/index.json exist, resolve the requested
artifact first. Read its .styleseed/bundles/<artifact-id>.md and manifest. A partial or invalid
registry is an error; never fall back to the global legacy bundle. Legacy projects may use
.styleseed/effective-rules.md only when no registry exists.
Before the first workflow in a project/task session, follow the update preflight.
/ss-build, $ss-build, and other ss-* names mean the corresponding
internal workflow. Read workflows/<name>/WORKFLOW.md; do not invoke an unregistered skill.
Users may say StyleSeed build, $styleseed build, or the old workflow name in natural language.ss-learn; if absent, report that dependency and never auto-install it.| Request | Read |

Styleseed fits situations like: tasks that involve Design systems.
Run `npx skills add bitjaru/styleseed --skill styleseed -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/styleseed in bitjaru/styleseed) into .claude/skills/styleseed in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add bitjaru/styleseed --skill styleseed -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/styleseed in bitjaru/styleseed) into .agents/skills/styleseed in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add bitjaru/styleseed --skill styleseed -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/styleseed, .gemini/skills/styleseed, .github/skills/styleseed and .opencode/skills/styleseed in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Styleseed is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Styleseed is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
