releaseRuns the full release of the remotion-bits package: version bump, changelog, registry build, release commit, GitHub release, docs deploy and npm publish.
The skill performs a nine-step release from the repository root. It bumps the version in `package.json`, defaulting to a patch bump unless you ask for minor, major or a specific version, adds a section at the top of `CHANGELOG.md` with concise, user-facing notes drawn from commits and merged PRs, runs `npm run registry:build`, commits with a `chore:` message naming the version, and pushes to `master`.
After the push it opens a prefilled GitHub release form in the system browser, not the internal one, with the tag and release title set to the new version. Once the release is published it deploys the docs with `./scripts/deploy-docs.sh` and publishes the package with `npm publish`. If the registry build fails, the agent stops and fixes the cause first. It assumes valid GitHub, Cloudflare and npm credentials are already configured, leaves unrelated working-tree changes alone, and does not start the docs dev server.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit de35fda. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Remotion Bits Release loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 68 tokens; SKILL.md has 542 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 542 words (~1,209 tokens).

Run `npx skills add av/remotion-bits --skill release -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.github/skills/release in av/remotion-bits) into .claude/skills/release in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add av/remotion-bits --skill release -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.github/skills/release in av/remotion-bits) into .agents/skills/release in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add av/remotion-bits --skill release -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/release, .gemini/skills/release, .github/skills/release and .opencode/skills/release in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Remotion Bits Release needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npm and git). Our summary lists: A remotion-bits checkout with push access to master; GitHub, Cloudflare and npm credentials configured in the environment.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: github.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
No licence was found for Remotion Bits Release or its repository. Without one, default copyright applies: ask the author before reusing or redistributing it.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.8k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
