How to create, manage, and use Ethereum wallets. An agent skill from austintgriffith/ethskills.

  • Works in 5 steps: The wallet signs a message that says… → A special EIP-7702 transaction submits… → The EOA can then run that contract logic… → …
  • You are sending transactions
  • SKILL.md covers What You Probably Got Wrong, EIP-7702: Smart EOAs (Live…, Safe (Gnosis Safe) Multisig and 🚨 NEVER COMMIT SECRETS TO GIT, plus 2 more sections

What it does

Wallets is an agent skill from austintgriffith/ethskills. How to create, manage, and use Ethereum wallets. Covers EOAs, smart contract wallets, multisig (Safe), and account abstraction. Use this skill whenever you are sending transactions, signing messages, or managing funds. Includes guardrails for safe key handling.

Its SKILL.md is about 1.9k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Backend & APIs, covering Smart contracts and LLM guardrails. It works with Ethereum. The repository describes itself as: The missing knowledge between AI agents and production Ethereum.

When your agent uses it

  • You are sending transactions
  • Signing messages

Example prompts

  • “/wallets”

Requirements

  • A credential in YOUR_KEY
  • A credential in DEPLOYER_PRIVATE_KEY

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. The wallet signs a message that says which contract code the EOA can use.
  2. A special EIP-7702 transaction submits that signed message.
  3. The EOA can then run that contract logic (batching, sponsorship, permissions) as if it were account logic.
  4. This is not automatically "one and done" - the delegation can stay active until it is replaced or explicitly cleared.
  5. If the transaction later fails, the delegation update itself can still remain.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 06ea4ef. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • git

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • base-mainnet.g.alchemy.com

    Also links to:

    • eips.ethereum.org
    • docs.safe.global

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • DEPLOYER_PRIVATE_KEY

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Wallets loads about 1.9k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 67 tokens; SKILL.md has 814 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~67
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.9k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

SKILL.md

Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 814 words (~1,934 tokens).

“EIP-7702 is live. Since Pectra (May 7, 2025), regular EOAs can delegate execution to smart-contract code without migrating wallets. This enables batching, gas sponsorship, and session-key-style UX. This is NOT "coming soon." It shipped.”
