Atomui Gallery Local Debug is an agent skill from AtomUI/AtomUI. Use when building, launching, debugging, or visually inspecting AtomUIGallery.Desktop from an AtomUI checkout where installed or mounted Gallery apps may share its name or bundle identifier.
Its SKILL.md is about 980 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 6 other files, including scripts (for example `agents/openai.yaml`, `scripts/launch-gallery-debug.sh` and `tests/test-launcher-contract.sh`).
It sits in Development, covering Debugging. The repository describes itself as: An enhancement and extension library for Avalonia, bringing the Ant Design design language, modern controls, theming, native integrations, and cross-platform UI capabilities to… The licence is LGPL-3.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit d234fe0. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 1 file in scripts/ (Shell), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
bashgitdotnetFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Atomui Gallery Local Debug loads about 983 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 54 tokens; SKILL.md has 458 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from AtomUI/AtomUI at commit d234fe0, republished under its LGPL-3.0 licence (© AtomUI). 458 words, ~983 tokens.
.claude/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 3 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Launch and identify the Gallery from the current checkout. The build identity, process identity, and UI automation target must all resolve to the same absolute executable path.
Run from anywhere inside the target AtomUI checkout:
.agents/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug/scripts/launch-gallery-debug.shThe launcher builds AtomUIGallery.Desktop, directly executes the current checkout's .artifacts binary, verifies its PID command, and prints REPO_ROOT, BINARY, PID, and LOG. Keep that launcher command running during visual inspection; it waits on the Gallery so command runners cannot reap a detached GUI process.
If an unrecorded process already runs from that exact path, the launcher reports EXISTING_PID and stops without overwriting its PID file. Close or explicitly terminate that verified process before retrying so a stale loaded assembly cannot be mistaken for the new build.
Treat the printed BINARY and PID as the only valid runtime identity. Before visual inspection, confirm the PID still resolves to BINARY.
For Computer Use, connect with the printed absolute executable path:
let galleryApp = await cua.getApp("<BINARY>");If exact-path connection fails, stop visual automation and report the limitation. Do not fall back to AtomUIGallery, AtomUI Desktop Gallery, net.atomui.gallery, open, or an .app under /Applications or /Volumes.
After connecting, inspect the accessibility tree or screenshot and confirm the requested current-checkout content is present before interacting further.
| Command | Use |
|---|---|
launch-gallery-debug.sh | Build Debug and start the verified binary. |
launch-gallery-debug.sh --no-build | Start an already-built Debug binary. |
launch-gallery-debug.sh --configuration Release | Build and start Release. |
launch-gallery-debug.sh --dry-run --no-build | Print resolved identities without building or starting. |
launch-gallery-debug.sh --stop | Stop only the PID previously recorded by this checkout after verifying its path. |
When a command tool returns a live session identifier, retain it until inspection finishes. Run --stop separately, then drain the original session.
After changing the Skill, run:
bash .agents/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug/tests/test-launcher-contract.shBINARY is inside the current git rev-parse --show-toplevel directory.BINARY path..artifacts/run directory.| Mistake | Required response |
|---|---|
dotnet run succeeded, so any same-name window is assumed correct. | Verify the process executable path; build success does not identify the automated window. |
| Bundle ID lookup reports ambiguity, then application name is used instead. | Stop. Both identifiers use LaunchServices and can select an installed or mounted copy. |
| Exact-path UI binding is unavailable. | Report visual verification as blocked; keep build and automated test evidence separate. |
| An old PID file points to another process. | Refuse to signal it; the launcher must match the recorded PID command to the current BINARY. |
| An unrecorded current-path process is already running. | Report its PID and stop before overwriting the PID file or starting a possibly stale duplicate. |

Atomui Gallery Local Debug is an agent skill from AtomUI/AtomUI.Desktop from an AtomUI checkout where installed or mounted Gallery apps may share its name or bundle identifier.
Atomui Gallery Local Debug fits situations like: visually inspecting AtomUIGallery.Desktop from an AtomUI checkout where installed; mounted Gallery apps may share its name; bundle identifier.
Run `npx skills add AtomUI/AtomUI --skill atomui-gallery-local-debug -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug in AtomUI/AtomUI) into .claude/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add AtomUI/AtomUI --skill atomui-gallery-local-debug -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug, .gemini/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug, .github/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug and .opencode/skills/atomui-gallery-local-debug in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Atomui Gallery Local Debug needs a shell for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (bash, git and dotnet). Our summary lists: A Bash shell.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Atomui Gallery Local Debug is published under the LGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 983 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
