linearRead and manage software issues, tickets, projects, and planning data in Linear.
Linear is an agent skill from asgeirtj/system_prompts_leaks. Read and manage software issues, tickets, projects, and planning data in Linear. Use to review sprints and cycles, identify ticket rollover and release blockers, and update issue status, assignees, priorities, and milestones through Linear's official MCP server.
Its SKILL.md is about 650 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `connector_auth_config.yaml` and `manifest.yaml`).
It sits in Product & Project Management, covering Project management. It works with Model Context Protocol. The repository describes itself as: Documented system prompts from Anthropic - Claude Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5, Claude Design, Claude Code. OpenAI - ChatGPT GPT-6-Astra, Codex. Google - Gemini 3.8 Flash, 3.1 Pro… The licence is CC0-1.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit dd45aa5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Linear loads about 653 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 67 tokens; SKILL.md has 307 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/linear/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 2 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Use the installed linear CLI. Start with linear status. If it reports
not_connected, run linear authorize-url and share only the returned
connect_url with the user.
OAuth uses Dynamic Client Registration and PKCE through authd. No shared client
secret enters Muse, and credentials must never be requested in chat.
The first connection requests read-only access. Before a write, or after one
fails for missing access, run linear status --for-command <permission>. For
Linear's save_* tools, use the matching *.create permission when the
arguments omit id, and the matching *.manage permission when they include
id. If the status command
returns scope_status: not_granted, copy scope_add_url exactly and post it on
its own line as [Additional Linear access](<scope_add_url>) so the client
renders the native access button, then wait for consent to finish before
retrying once. OAuth access does not replace Hatch approval. Never construct a
scope URL or ask for tokens in chat.
Run linear list-tools to inspect the live provider catalogue and schemas,
then call an advertised tool with:
linear call-tool --name <tool> --arguments-json '<json-object>'list-tools exposes only reviewed Linear tools and includes each tool's
hatch_permission, hatch_action, and hatch_permission_label. For a
polymorphic save_* tool, the permission fields show the id-based selector
used at execution. Linear hides write tools from its live catalogue while the
OAuth grant is read-only; do not describe an all-read tools list as lack of
write support. In that state, list-tools returns manifest-derived
additional_access entries separately from the provider-advertised tools. When
the user requests one of those capabilities, share its scope_add_url using
the exact Additional Linear access link format above, wait for consent, then
rerun linear list-tools to obtain the provider's live write-tool schema.
Unknown or newly advertised provider tools remain unavailable until reviewed.
Read permissions follow the user's connector settings; changes require the
corresponding granular approval. Do not retry a failed or timed-out write
automatically because its side effect may have completed.

SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Linear is published under the CC0-1.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 653 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
