What it does

PR is an agent skill from alamenai/terrae. Commit, push, and open a pull request on GitHub

Its SKILL.md is about 770 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Development, covering Pull requests. It works with GitHub, Mapbox, Git and React. The repository describes itself as: Composable and animated components that replace imperative layers with simple props. The perfect companion for shadcn/ui. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Tasks that involve Pull requests

Example prompts

  • “/pr”

Requirements

  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Bash(git *), Bash(gh *)

Workflow steps

7 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Check Current State
  2. Stage and Commit
  3. Create or Use Branch
  4. Push to Remote
  5. Assign Labels
  6. Open Pull Request
  7. Verify and Report

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ea9a480. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Bash(git *)
    • Bash(gh *)

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • git
    • gh

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git and gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

PR loads about 767 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 13 tokens; SKILL.md has 294 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~13
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~767

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check: notes

The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

  • NoteMentions a .env fileSKILL.md:20
    - Never stage sensitive files (.env, credentials, etc.)

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Pull Request Skill

Commit changes, push the branch, and open a pull request on GitHub.

Instructions

  1. Check Current State

    • Run git status to see changed files
    • Run git diff --staged and git diff to see all changes
    • Run git log --oneline -5 to see recent commits
  2. Stage and Commit

    • Stage specific files by name (avoid git add -A or git add .)
    • Never stage sensitive files (.env, credentials, etc.)
    • Follow conventional commit format: type(scope): description
    • Keep commit messages concise (under 72 characters)
  3. Create or Use Branch

    • If on main, create a new branch: git checkout -b <branch-name>
    • Branch name format: type/short-description (e.g., feat/code-comparison, fix/marker-cleanup)
    • If already on a feature branch, use it
  4. Push to Remote

    • Push with upstream tracking: git push -u origin <branch-name>
  5. Assign Labels Add --label flags to gh pr create based on the PR type and scope.

Type labels — pick based on the commit type:

    Commit typeLabel
    fixbug
    featenhancement
    docsdocumentation
    test(no type label)
    refactor(no type label)
    chore(no type label)

Component labels — if the scope matches a component label in the repo, add it:

    ScopeLabel
    compassCompass
    interactionInteraction

Run gh label list to check available labels if unsure. Multiple labels can be combined:

    bash
gh pr create --label "bug" --label "Compass" ...
  6. Open Pull Request

    • Use gh pr create to open the PR
    • Write a clear title (under 70 characters)
    • Write a description that follows the structure below based on PR type
    • Start with a Type checklist — check the one that applies:
    bash
gh pr create --title "type(scope): description" --label "label" --body "$(cat <<'EOF'
    ## Type

    - [ ] Feature
    - [ ] Bug fix
    - [ ] Refactor
    - [ ] Test
    - [ ] Docs
    - [ ] Chore

    ## Summary
    - bullet points describing what changed and why

    ## Bug Details (only for bug fixes)
    **What was the bug?**
    Describe the incorrect behavior.

    **Why did it happen?**
    Explain the root cause.

    **How was it fixed?**
    Describe the solution.

    ## Test Coverage
If tests were added or updated, link to the file on the branch (permalink):
    - [`src/registry/map/__tests__/component.test.tsx`](https://github.com/alamenai/terrae/blob/<branch-name>/src/registry/map/__tests__/component.test.tsx)
    EOF
    )"
  7. Verify and Report

    • Show the PR URL to the user
    • Run git status to confirm clean state
Show full SKILL.md (27 more words)Show less

Important Rules

  • Do NOT push to main directly — always use a feature branch
  • Do NOT force push unless explicitly requested
  • Ask user before proceeding with each step

With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add alamenai/terrae --skill pr -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/pr, .gemini/skills/pr, .github/skills/pr and .opencode/skills/pr in your project.

What does PR need to run?
