What it does

Optional Runtime Smokes is an agent skill from AbdelStark/worldforge. Use for LeWorldModel, GR00T, LeRobot, PushT robotics showcase, real-checkpoint smoke scripts, checkpoint building, and host-owned optional runtime dependencies. Keeps real-runtime validation explicit without adding heavy ML/robotics packages or artifacts to the base project.

Its SKILL.md is about 860 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`).

The repository describes itself as: Harness framework to build world model based workflows for physical AI systems. The licence is MIT.

Requirements

  • Python 3

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 30b65da. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • uv

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • github.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Optional Runtime Smokes loads about 855 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 75 tokens; SKILL.md has 327 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~75
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~855

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Optional Runtime Smokes

Runtime Boundary

  • Checkout-safe demos may inject deterministic runtimes. Do not describe them as neural inference.
  • Live smokes require host-installed packages, checkpoints, credentials, and task-specific observation/action translators.
  • Keep stable_worldmodel, torch, LeRobot, Isaac GR00T, CUDA, TensorRT, datasets, checkpoints, and robot packages out of project.dependencies.
  • Never commit downloaded assets, checkpoints, datasets, cache directories, or runtime-specific credentials.
  • Do not pad, project, or reinterpret mismatched action spaces inside WorldForge.
  • Keep smoke output safe to attach unless it is explicitly local-only; redact cache roots, signed URLs, tokens, controller telemetry, and checkpoint bytes.

Command Selection

NeedStart here
LeWorldModel adapter/planner path in a clean checkoutuv run worldforge-demo-leworldmodel
PushT robotics dependency/checkpoint statusscripts/robotics-showcase --health-only

Build LeWorldModel object checkpointworldforge-build-leworldmodel-checkpoint with host-owned runtime deps
GR00T policy smokehost-owned Isaac GR00T server or reachable remote policy server
LeRobot policy smokehost-owned LeRobot install, policy checkpoint, observation builder, action translator

Rules

  • scripts/robotics-showcase --health-only is non-mutating; it must not auto-build or download missing checkpoints.
  • Use --revision or LEWORLDMODEL_REVISION to pin Hugging Face asset resolution.
  • Keep torch.load(..., weights_only=True) unless a trusted legacy artifact explicitly requires --allow-unsafe-pickle.
  • Keep warning filters narrow. Use WORLDFORGE_SHOW_RUNTIME_WARNINGS=1 when raw third-party stderr is needed.

Definition Of Done

  • The selected command matches the user's intent: injected adapter story, health-only preflight, or live host-owned runtime.
  • Missing host dependencies fail as explicit skipped/preflight evidence, not package installs in base WorldForge.
  • Any docs or manifests state the command, success signal, first triage step, and local-only caveats.
  • Validation includes focused smoke tests or health-only output inspection plus optional-import boundary checks when imports changed.
