computer-repair-skillDiagnoses and repairs Windows, macOS and Linux computers with evidence first, a confirmed plan, minimal changes and verification, using on-demand playbooks.
This skill turns the agent into a cross-platform computer repair assistant for drives, slow or unstable machines, storage, apps, updates, networking, printers, backups, credentials, drivers, startup and WinRE problems, BitLocker, partitions, data recovery and app or data migration. It is written mainly in Chinese. The agent first identifies the real operating system, shell and permissions, reads one platform tools reference for Windows, macOS or Linux, and then routes the request to the most specific playbook from an index, loading only the playbooks the task needs.
The workflow is mandatory: clarify the symptom and constraints, run read-only diagnostics and record evidence, present a plan with scope, privileges, rollback point and success check, wait for your confirmation, make only the confirmed minimal change and verify it. Actions are sorted into read-only audit, reversible changes, high-impact changes and system-level red lines, with high-impact ones confirmed one by one. Cleanup follows a protocol that previews targets and prefers the recycle bin or a quarantine folder over permanent deletion. The skill uses no separate model or cloud API and follows the host agent's sandbox and approvals.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8fbe5cf. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 1 file in scripts/, which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use curl and wget, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Computer Repair loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~113k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 144 tokens; SKILL.md has 186 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found patterns that need a careful read before installing.

It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add 88lin/computer-repair-skill --skill computer-repair-skill -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/computer-repair-skill, .gemini/skills/computer-repair-skill, .github/skills/computer-repair-skill and .opencode/skills/computer-repair-skill in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Computer Repair needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl, bash, wget and sh). Our summary lists: An agent allowed to run commands on the machine being repaired.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use curl and wget, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md flagged 1 warning(s): pipes a downloaded script straight into a shell. Read the flagged lines before installing; the check is not a guarantee either way. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Computer Repair is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (from the LICENSE file in the skill folder). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 112k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Computer Repair: Openclaw Live Updater (openclaw/openclaw, 392k stars), Shadowvpn Deploy Client (madeye/shadowvpn, 101 stars), Agent Chat (profbernardoj/everclaw-community-branches, 112 stars) and Sysadmin (RightNow-AI/openfang, 18k stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
